José Antonio Moreno Ruffinelli has been professor for over three decades in the two major Law Schools in Paraguay – the National University ( Universidad Nacional de Asunción) and the Catholic University ( Universidad Católica de Asunción) -, teaching and lecturing for generations of Paraguayan lawyers. He has also taught in Postgraduate studies in the Catholic University Law School.

The firm's founder is member of one of Paraguay's most prestigious intellectual association: la Academia Paraguaya de la Lengua Española, and is Member of the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for Paraguay.

He is author of the following legal publications: La Teoría de la Imprevisión y su Aplicación en Nuestro Derecho Positivo (Doctrine Hardship in Contracts) (1973);  Bien de Familia (Homestead Law) (1977);  Derecho Civil I – Parte General De las Personas (Civil Law – General Part – Law of Persons) (1988);  Régimen Patrimonial del Matrimonio (Marital Property Law) (1992);  Tarjeta de Crédito (Credit Cards – Legal Regime) (1994);  Nuevas Instituciones de la Constitución Nacional (New Political Institutions of Paraguayan Constitution) (1995);  Fulgencio R. Moreno (1997); Diplomacy for Development (Diplomacia para el Desarrollo – 2003).   Currently working on : Derecho Civil II – Familia (Family Law).

Dr. Moreno Ruffinelli has also authored numerous articles for local law reviews as well as for prestigious international publications.

José Antonio Moreno Rodríguez has been Professor of Postgraduate studies in the Law School of the Catholic University, on Contract Law and Private Law. He has also been Academic Coordinator with Georgetown University in Paraguay and has been Dean of the Law School of the American University in Paraguay. He has also been Professor of Civil and Commercial Law in the Law School of the National University of Asunción as well as in the Catholic University.

José Moreno Rodríguez has also written and published several articles in specialized reviews covering areas such as contracts, stock exchange, arbitration, legislative practice, etc., and has given various conferences covering areas such as MERCOSUR and European Integration Law), Civil and Commercial Law, Capital Markets Law, Arbitration, etc.

He of the following books: Curso de Derecho Civil, Hechos y Actos Jurídicos (Legal Acts) (1991); Derecho Bancario (Banking Law) (1995) (Co-author); Teoría de la Causa (Cause in Contracts) (1997); Cláusulas Abusivas en los Contratos ( Unfair terms in Contracts) (1999);  Arbitraje y Mediación (Arbitration and Mediation) (2003) (Coordinator). Currently working on a study of International Commercial Contracts.

Carlos Darío Ruffinelli is one of the founders of CEDEP ( Centro de Estudios de Derecho, Economía y Política ) which has organized the Certificate on Globalization, Law, Business and Development jointly with prestigious Georgetown University in the year 2000. Ruffinelli was Academic Coordinator in the U.S. for the event.

He has been Professor of Civil Law (Persons) in the National University of Asunción and of Political Science in the American University (Paraguay).

He is member of the Board of Directors of LINK, Inc. which is an educational institution with base in Kansas, U.S.A. He is a member of the Paraguay/Kansas Committee, affiliated to the Partners of America, and has been legal adviser to PARATESOL, which is the English speaking professors association in Paraguay.

Ruffinelli has a vast experience in the educational field since 1983, specializing in the English language and teaching in general. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Georgetown University Law Center and has participated actively in educational interchange and formation programs such as Youth for Understanding (Germany (1980-81), Cherry Creek High School (Denver Colorado U.S.A. 1983); Fulbright (Hungary, 1990); Cadwalder Wickersham & Taft (New York, U.S.A. 1995).

Fernando Barriocanal has been Professor of Law in the National University of Asunción for many years, teaching Contract Law and Roman Law in the law school. He is also a Professor in the prestigious Judiciary School (Escuela Judicial), which is the school for local Magistrates and Judges.

Liliana Moreno Rodríguez is currently Professor in the National University of Asunción – Law School (Family Law). She has also been Professor of Civil Procedure in the American University (Paraguay). She has also coordinated and organized a successful joint program on Negotiation with the CMI Group with Professors from Harvard University, including Professor Roger Fisher.

Lawyer María Inés Segura has been Professor of Commercial Law in the University of El Salvador, Buenos Aires Argentina. She also has been Professor of Labor Law in the American University, of Tax Law in the Universidad Comunera and Commercial Law in the Universidad del Norte (Paraguay).

Lawyer Jorge Enciso Vera is Professor of Labor Law in the American University of Asunción; Assistant to Professor of Tecnica Jurídica in the National University of Asunción; Professor of Investigation Method in the National University of Asunción and of French in the Superior Institution of Languages of the National University of Asunción. He has also been a professor hired by CIDSEP (Centro Interdisciplinario de Derecho Social y Economía Política) of the Catholic University for various courses and programs destined to the public and private sectors.

Lawyer Rocío Penayo has taught Labor Law in the Law School of Columbia University, in Asunción.

Lawyer Sebastián Irún has been Assistant to Professor of Civil Procedure and Comercial Law in the American University and Catholic University in Paraguay, and is currently Professor of Roman Law in the American University Law School in Asunción.
